This three-part Qigong series, with timing informed by Chinese Metaphysics, is intentionally designed to support a smooth and conscious transition—releasing the old cycle, seeding the new, and activating growth. The timing of each class is selected using Date Selection (Ze Ri), layering the energies of the year, the seasons of the Chinese calendar, the phase of the moon, and several aspects of the energetic quality of the day itself. This layered approach to timing allows each practice to be supported by the surrounding energies, enhancing clarity, ease, and effectiveness. Each class stands alone; together they form a continuous journey. Taking all three supports a smooth transition into the Fire Horse year—from release, to intention, to activation. Through gentle yet profound Qigong practices, we unwind what has tightened, clear stagnation, and consciously close the previous cycle. The timing of this class is selected using Date Selection (Ze Ri). January 16 is a day when important energies are waning: that of the Snake year, the Winter season of the Chinese calendar, and the phase of the moon. In addition, the energetic quality of the day itself, is excellent for removing what no longer serves us, by several metrics. Layering these influences strongly support release, completion, and energetic clearing. Practicing on this day creates clean space for the Fire Horse energy to enter without resistance—lighter, freer, and ready for movement.
