Chinese Medicine Training

I am not certified in Chinese Medicine, yet I studied it on my own and it has provided me with deeper insights into my Qigong practice. I am currently enrolled in a 5-Element Acupuncture course given by the TCM Academy, which will end in July 2024.

Below are the main sources of my knowledge. All workshops but the first three were Continuing Education classes for acupuncturists through the Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, NC. This school is one of the few acupuncture schools that teaches Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM), and not Traditional Medicine (TCM). Classical Chinese Medicine is based on ancient texts that include significant spiritual elements that are not addressed in Traditional Chinese Medicine. As such, CCM is intrinsically linked with Daoist philosophy.
