What is Qigong?

The word "Qigong" is a combination of two Chinese characters: "Qi" (氣) and "Gong" (功). "Qi" refers to the energy that permeates the Universe and exists in all things, and "Gong" means "skill" or "work" and denotes the practice or cultivation of Qi.

According to Chinese Medicine, optimum health is achieved when the body, mind, and spirit are balanced. Qigong practices help achieve that by activating specific acupuncture meridians through various movements.

Tai Chi, a practice that most people are familiar with, is the martial arts form of Qigong.
