What is Qigong?

The word "Qigong" is a combination of two Chinese characters: "Qi" (氣) and "Gong" (功). "Qi" refers to the energy that permeates the Universe and exists in all things, and "Gong" means "skill" or "work" and denotes the practice or cultivation of energy/Qi.

According to Chinese Medicine, optimum health is achieved when the body, mind, and spirit are balanced. Qigong helps achieve that by activating specific acupuncture meridians through various movements, and by incroporating breath and intention in all its practices. It is said that "Where attention goes, Energy flows."

What makes my teaching approach distinctive is the integration of Chinese Metaphysics into Qigong practice. I incorporate insights into the energies of the year, season, and month, thus having the practices . attuned to larger cosmic cycles. This enhances their effectiveness and supports deeper healing and transformation. For private sessions, I take this one step further, taking into account which are the specific beneficial energies for the person, layering the insights of BaZi, Qimen Dunjia and Feng Shui.

In addition to being a self-practice, Qigong is also a powerful hands-on or distance healing technique, where the practitioner directs healing energy towards the client. I received my Qigong Healing Certificate from Master Robert Peng, in the Light Elixir Qigong tradition.
